Summer Breeze Stables in Milton is the fulfilment of one horsewomans’ dream. After graduating from Mountoursville Area High school in 1972, Jan travelled to England to train at the renowned Porlock Vale Equestrian Centre, where she earned her Horse Masters and became a Certified Instructor.
Jan’s many accomplishments include the training of numerous A-circuit champion riders and horses and 4-H State Champions, a Grand Junior Hunter Zone II Champion, and multiple grand and reserve champions within the Central Pennsylvania Hunter Circuit.

In addition to training local students and their horses, Jan successfully coached the Bucknell Equestrian Team for 17 years, taking the regional championship in three of her four final years with the team. Jan was awarded the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association High Point Regional Coaching Award in 2002, 2003, and 2005, and the reserve award in 2004.
Jan’s success can be attributed to the fact that she always strives for excellence in her students, her horses, and in her own training skills. Summer Breeze Stables is a place where students learn not just to ride and care for their horses, but also about self discipline and respect.
